Joe Blencoe

  Hi, my name is Joe Blencoe. I have the pleasure of serving as the Secretary for Restoration, Inc.

The Outdoors is my hobby. While I fish and hunting my main passion is walking a trail with a pack on my back. I just want to see what’s around the bend or over the hill. I, also, love mentoring other Men. Through listening and sharing I’ve come to appreciate learning from and helping others.

I graduated from High School in ’91. Then, joined the Marine Corps in ’92. My first duty station was with 3rd BN, 9th Marines. I was with 3/9 until ’94. My next duty station was at Parris Island, where I served as a Marksmanship Instructor (PMI). While in the USMC is received certificates of completion for Combat Radio Operator Course, Survival Training (both summer and winter) and Close Combat Instructors Course. I ended my active duty as a Sergeant, E5, in 1998.

My 1st civilian job I managed a Landscape Company for a short time. In 2000 I was blessed to work for a family farm in Hampton, SC. I worked for Green Acres Turf Farm, Youmans Farms, until 2016. I helped manage orders and truck routing for most of my time there. Currently, I’m a Software Sales & Support Tech for a small Tech Company in Mt. Pleasant, SC. I never thought I’d be in the Tech Industry, but here I am, and I love it.

While serving at Parris Island, I met my Wife, Laura. We’ve been married 29 years. We have 2 children. Our Daughter, Shelby, is 27 and our Son, Joey, is almost 20. I’ve stayed in Beaufort, SC since getting out of the USMC, and love to call it home.
